    Starblazer Adventures Announced!
Secret Project #1 has been unveiled thanks to the ink having dried!

Gigantic fleets prowl the starlanes, dying captains rally the crews of stricken starships, heroic pilots pull off death defying attacks on planet size monsters, mysterious aliens devise inexplicable fates for humankind, star marines descend on secret pirate bases, devilish scientists operate enormous engines of destruction, swashbuckling princes defend their world from vast empires…

Sound familiar? Of course it does! Starblazer, published by the Scottish city Dundee based publisher D.C.Thompson was the home to some of the best science fiction space opera of the 1970’s, before it finally closed in 1981. Featuring stunning full colour covers and black and white interior art, artists such as Enrique Alcatena, Grant Morrison, Alan Rogers, Jaime Oritz, Ian Kennedy, Colin MacNeil and Casanovas helped bring the fantastic ‘space fiction adventure in pictures’ to life.

The officially licenced Starblazer roleplaying game, being published by Cubicle 7 Entertainment, allows you to relive those classic stories of sci-fi derring do, using the much loved FATE 3.0 rules system, tweaked to give you the full intergalactic meal deal.

With over 281 stories to delve in to we’ve also detailed the vast galactic empires across the ages described by the comics, giving you a wide variety of genres to explore. From space fantasy themed epics, to low fi space exploration to galaxy busting wars threatening the very core of civilisation there is plenty for everyone. You’ll even find a pile of ready to run adventures straight from the pages of Starblazer to get you in the mood.

Does Starblazer sound like every other sci-fi game? You bet! It includes all those great elements you’ve loved but never seen in one place. Does it have some of the most incredible art this side of the galaxy? Of course! Some of the world’s greatest sci-fi artists contributed to the pages and covers of Starblazer and we’re using that art to illustrate your adventures in the Starblazer universe.

As well as the introductory and advanced rules, you’ll find maps, galactic histories, stories of civilizations spanning thousands of years, technology from across time and space, details of the equipment and starships of the human civilisations and their alien neighbours, and optional simple rules that will also allow you to lead an armada, plan a network of secret bases, thwart a galaxy wide conspiracy or hold off hordes of terrifying creatures. We’ve also provided some tips on finding and recruiting people to experience the fun of Starblazer adventures and ideas on how to make your time together that much more enjoyable.

In this community you’ll find updates on the action, and releases, backstories, development news, comments from previous writers, excerpts from original scripts and through exclusive interviews we’ll reveal some of the hidden treasures of the Starblazer stories.

The adventures don’t stop here, online at the official website launching later this year you’ll find downloadable accessories, excerpts of comic strips, rules supplements, adventures, a fan community and much more bringing the Starblazer universe to life and giving you the tools to extend your gaming experience.

In short Starblazer is your gateway to a rock n roll sci-fi adventure that will bring friends together as you save the galaxy in new and dangerous ways! Watch out for Starblazer later this year.

We also have a myspace page at  http://www.myspace.com/starblazeradventures and will have a dedicated website, Wiki and Forum coming soon :)

Apart from the license, which has some really amazing background material, I'm really psyked to be using the FATE system. If anyone has seen a copy of Spirit of the Century RPG they'll know what I mean.

Anyway, good fun and lots of work to do. Hopefully we'll be announcing another license fairly soon too. 2007 is the year of many plans ;p

Hunter Sheets & Cannibal Sector One Available on Ebay
    Hi all!

Good news (finally) on the SLA INDUSTRIES RPG front!

As you know we have just released a brand new book for SLA INDUSTRIES as well as a limited advanced preview of a second book that is due for general release in June.

If you would like to be kept up to date with future SLA INDUSTRIES releases, or releases from other games at Cubicle 7 Entertainment, please let me know and I'll add you to our Mailing List.

We will also post here when future books are released - including the general release of Hunter Sheets Issue One in the summer.

Cannibal Sector One should hopefully be hitting stores worldwide later this month!

I have included an ebay link as we're selling copies via Ebay at present if you're super-keen on getting a hold of a copy! (we are working on a webstore on www.cubicle7.co.uk and when that's up and running we'll let you know). The books are also currently available through Leisure Games (www.leisuregames.com - London, UK) and Black Lion Games (www.black-lion.co.uk - Edinburgh, UK) who got some advance stock in.

The new books in question are as follows:

    -----------------------
    CANNIBAL SECTOR ONE - SLA INDUSTRIES Sourcebook - £17.99 + P&P http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cannibal-Sector-One-SLA-Industries-RPG-Brand-New_W0QQitemZ330104277993QQcategoryZ2546QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem

    One.

    First.

    Premier.

In this case the primary place of nightmares, the place that sets the mould, the place that haunts the dreams of citizens and operatives alike, a place that troubles even Mr. Slayer.

It is here that legends come of die from Digger to Salvation Tower, the failed experiments and misbegotten children of corporate greed and genetic mismanagement.

It is here that the Cannibals creep and crawl, that the Carrien skulk and chitter, that the Manchines drag their prey to their dark halls of flesh. It is here that the Scavs wheeze and skulk, drawing their mysterious plans against SLA.

This is hell, this is death, this is decay, this is the land of the truly ignored, the forgotten, there is no underclass here, just predator and prey.

Far in this abyssal place there is important work being done and the battle for Mort’s soul is conducted, appropriately enough, in the land of its nightmares.

Dare you brave CS1 or dare you defy Slayer’s orders?

Either way, you’ll rot in hell...

    * Comprehensive guide to the people, places and things of Cannibal Sector One.

    * Get to know the wall and the people who work there, section by section.

    * Uncover the mysterious Sector Rangers and Slayer’s plans for the sector.

    * Cannibals, Carrien, Manchines and Scavs revealed. Learn to fear them again.

    * Learn about the mutations and hazards of life in CS1.

    * Comprehensive NPC guide for use in your games.

    * Equipment, weapons and vehicles for use in the sector, not that they will help.

    * A new, antisocial, Stormer variant, specially adapted for missions in the wasteland.

    CS1 up to #2!
Cannibal Sector 1 is up to #2 in the current RPG Category Best Sellers over at RPGNow! I wonder if we'll be able to claim top spot at somepoint? Contract Directory is also still in the Top 20 at number 9.

So, the PDF's seem to be doing pretty well for us.

Print copies of Cannibal Sector One should be with us in time for Conpulsions up in Edinburgh on March 24th-25th. Dom and myself will be on the Cubicle 7 stand and John D and Team 8 will also be in attendence running a variety of games. The print copies of CS1 should then start hitting stores worldwide a few weeks later

    Cubicle 7 Announcement - 31st October 2006
Tuesday 31st October 2006 London, UK:
Cubicle 7 Entertainment is pleased to announce new appointments to the team and also a brand new acquisition.

Cubicle 7 Entertainment Purchases Heresy Gaming & Victoriana RPG
We’ve kept this one on the quiet for a number of months whilst we sifted through all of the files we received and also got the ball rolling on a number of projects.
Earlier this summer Cubicle 7 Entertainment purchased Heresy Gaming from John Tuckey. The company, best known for its Victoriana Role Playing Game – a game of Victorian Fantasy – and all of its assets have been merged into the Cubicle 7 family and we are currently working on Victoriana 2nd Edition using the Heresy Engine Rules System which is due for release in the Spring of 2007. More information will released about our production schedule and plans for the game by the game’s Line Developer shortly.

We are very excited to have added Victoriana to our portfolio and have some exciting developments in the works. We’re also happy to announce that John Tuckey, the previous owner and designer of the game, is still on board in a freelance capacity.

    New Staff Members
As the company has started to grow we have also changed our internal structure to help manage the lines more effectively and share the workload.

Dominic McDowall-Thomas has come on board as Operations & Marketing Manager. Dominic will be a man of many hats but these include overseeing our PDF Sales Development as well as liaison with our printers and the convention scene.

Andrew Peregrine, whose previous credits include Serenity, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Warhammer Fantasy and 7th Sea amongst others, has been appointed Line Developer for Victoriana. We’re very pleased to have someone with as an extensive CV in the games industry and who has worked on so many top games in charge of Victoriana and are looking forward to some great things in 2007 and onwards.

John Dodd, a veteran contributor of SLA Industries and head of Team 8 (http://team8.co.uk/forum/index.php), has come on board as Line Developer for SLA Industries. John’s appointment has been made after many years of working on SLA Industries and keeping the game alive through a whole range of support activities including the immensely popular Team 8 Forums and Team 8’s extensive convention support. John was selected as the best man for the job due to his knowledge of the game and his ‘no nonsense get things done’ attitude. John is currently putting the finishing touches to the long overdue Cannibal Sector One sourcebook and has also devised the product schedule for 2007 onwards.

Trudi Topman (Editor of Pantechnicon - http://www.pantechnicon.net/) has joined the team as Cubicle 7’s Web Mistress. She is currently beavering away making sure that the company, and the various product lines, have a home online. The website hasn’t been completed as yet but will be appearing at www.cubicle7.co.uk in the near future.

More news to follow and I hope everyone has an enjoyable Halloween!
